  57. Happy New Year! First year my first "baby" didn't welcome in the new year with us. I knew the day would come soon. He was born on New Year's Day. I knew he'd want to spend the time celebrating with his friends. However, since he only turned 17 today, we still called the parents and made sure there was no drugs, alcohol, and there was plenty of supervision and the person bringing him home wasn't going to be drinking. I think next year is the last year we can impose ourselves on his safety. ;-)
